GallBladder Stones & its Removal

We want to save people from gallbladder surgery and make their life healthy

The Gallbladder is a small pouch-like organ on the right side of your abdomen. Its job is to store and release bile, a substance made by the liver to help you digest fats. Gall bladder gets diseased due to an unhealthy diet and lifestyle. You can say Gallstone is a lifestyle disease This leads to an imbalance of the acid-alkali balance in the body which causes the cholesterol to precipitate in the gall bladder leading to stone formation.

Sometime due to stones gallbladder may get infected and lead to acute inflammation, pain, fever etc. These stones generally doesn't cause pain but when they get stuck in duct, cause severe pain and other health problems. Removal of these stones is necessary but not gallbladder.

Who's Most at Risk

Gall bladder disease can affect anyone, but some people are more vulnerable than others. You are most at risk of having gall bladder problems if you :

  • You are a Woman- Rates of gallstones are two to three times higher among women than men. Hormone replacement therapies and oral contraceptives have also been described to be associated with an increased risk for gallstone disease.
  • Have a Family history- The tendency to develop gallstones and gall bladder disease often runs in families, indicating there may be a genetic link.
  • Are older than 40- Gallstones are 4 to 10 times more frequent in the population. That’s because as you age your body tends to release more cholesterol into bile, which makes it more likely that stones will form in the gallbladder. In the past 10 years, we at NHC have encountered some children too as patients for gallstones.
  • Are overweight or obese- Obesity can raise your cholesterol level and also make it harder for the gallbladder to empty completely.
  • Have diabetes- People with diabetes generally have a high level of fatty acids, which may increase the risk of gallstones.
  • Take certain medicines- Some of the drugs boost the amount of cholesterol in bile, which may increase your chances of getting cholesterol stones. In addition to genetic and lifestyle factors, certain medical conditions or surgical procedures can also increase your likelihood of developing gallbladder problems.
  • Have fatty liver- Cirrhosis of the liver and certain blood disorders also increase a person’s risk of gallstones made up of bilirubin instead of cholesterol.
  • Are Native American or Mexican American- Having patients across the globe, our studies have shown a clear association between race and risk of gallbladder problems that cannot be completely explained by environmental factors. Native Americans and Mexican American are more likely to develop gallstones than other ethnic groups, probably as a result of dietary and genetic factors.
Causes of GallStones Formation
  • Cholesterol supersaturation- Normally bile dissolves the cholesterol that is secreted by liver. But if liver produces more cholesterol than bile can dissolve, than this excess cholesterol forms sludge and stones in liver and gallbladder.
  • Excessive bilirubin- Bilirubin is a yellowish substance which forms when red blood cells break down. Certain hematologic conditions cause the liver to make too much bilirubin through the processing of breakdown of hemoglobin. This excess bilirubin may also cause gallstone formation.
  • Gallbladder Impaired Contractility- If the gallbladder does not empty effectively, bile may become concentrated and form gallstones.

  • Pain under the right shoulder or in the right shoulder blade

Gallstones are formed in the liver. They travel through little tiny tubes called biliary ducts but most of them end up in the gallbladder. These stones are not hard in nature, instead soft like rubber or cheese pieces. Ultrasound or Sonography is the primary diagnostic test for gallbladder disease. Other tests include CT, MRI, and MRCP. The gallbladder can make one large gallstone, hundreds of tiny stones or both small and large stones. The reports only signify “multiple stones” and till date even after having such advanced techniques, gallstones can’t be measured in digits. However, most gallstones don’t cause blockages and are painless, also called “silent” gallstones.

ALARMING..!! Why Remove a Working Gallbladder

Gallbladder removal is the most common surgery in the world. Every year, more than a million people undergo surgery to remove their gallbladders because of gallstones. Approximately 80% of all gallstones show no symptoms and may remain “silent” for years. Once symptoms arise, they persist and increase in frequency. According to the statistics of the U.S. National Institute of Health, as many as 10% of patients even after surgery, the stones still remain in the bile ducts due to which many people suffer from the risk of bile duct injury. The gallbladder stores bile produced by the liver. This organ aids digestion by accumulating bile and shooting it into the intestine. When the gallbladder is removed, bile- the liquid stored in the organ- loses its storage area, and the liver is forced to adapt releasing bile more directly into your small intestine to aid in digestion.

According to the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons: “Complications of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy are infrequent but include bleeding, infection, pneumonia, blood clots, or heart problems. Unintended injury to an adjacent structure such as the common bile duct or duodenum may occur and may require another surgical procedure to repair it. Bile leakage into the abdomen from the tubular channels leading from the liver to the intestine has been described.”

The other treatment in conventional medicine is gallstone dissolution by different drugs. These drugs only work on smaller cholesterol stones and may cause diarrhea, hepatic injury, and an increase in plasma cholesterol level, nausea, pain or fever.

Going through intolerable pain, Mrs. Anjali talks about how she was relieved from the pain of gallbladder stones through our treatment. She says, “that whenever the pain emerged she had to go to the doctor and then he would give her an injection for relief, but after few days the same pain occurred, as our doctors suggested that there was no other solution other than “Surgery”, but my husband came across the videos on Natural Health Caren YouTube Channel where it is explained how our Gall Bladder can be saved even after having multiple stones in it. We decided to visit them with all our trust and to our believe I am happy to say that I have not experienced another pain attack since being on the diet and taking the supplements. I really appreciate all the advice by the doctors gave me and even after removal of stones within 4 months I am changing my lifestyle as directed and the results are gratifying. The most surprising thing that happened throughout my treatment journey was even my radiologists didn’t believe and they checked my ultrasound twice to make sure that the stones were removed with medicinal treatment only”.
